Vanessa -Honey-Malone

R.I.P Vanessa “Honey” Malone

When I saw her picture and I read the story about Vanessa “Honey” Malone, I got so angry. Really, wtf is the media even for nowadays? The news would rather cover Octomom and The Kardashian’s over actual news. Why is it that no media outlet has picked up this story? I guess an 18-year-old girl losing her life to brutal, pointless violence is not newsworthy. Life is messed up especially in 2012. This election is the distraction that is making racism an even bigger distraction. People are falling for this garbage. I guess we as a people are more concerned about keeping up some shit ( Excuse my language, I’m mad for real) rather than informing and helping to aid the innocent. What is it going to take for these media outlets to stop thinking with their asses? This story reached the surface via Facebook.

It happened on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. It is said that Honey walked up on a robbery in progress. When she realized what was going on, naturally she tried to run. She was then shot once then dragged into the apartment where the robbery was in progress. It is said that she screamed and one of the attackers shot her in the back. The bullet shattered her spine and exited through her heart. Her body was found inhumanly folded in a closet.

My heart is so heavy for her family. No one deserves this. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE. She was clearly at the wrong place at the wrong time.  What bothers me is… This is Atlanta. You mean to tell me with all that’s going on in “Black Hollywood”, not one news outlet thought that sharing this story in hopes to find her murderer(s) was necessary. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I am too disgusted with what media is. It damn sure isn’t what it is supposed to be…

Outside of writing this post and cursing out America’s trifling mass media, what Can I do? This isn’t right. Readers please comment your suggestions and share this information. We must do something because they apparently “ain’t”…

When will the madness stop?

Exactly! I’m from Atlanta and I’m EXTREMELY dissapointed. This girl was murdered and folded like a sheet of paper in a closet and doesn’t even get any fainfair? I’m THROUGH. FUCK this media. Were all fixated on Kim’s new ring, but murder is being swept under the rug. Shameful. SHAMEFUL.

  2. I feel the same way about this story girl It really just breaks my heart to know that she passed away like that. I mean, fuck the media. Writers like you and I can do better just by writing about this shit. Matter of fact, I’m going to do my duty as a “real writer and journalist” and write a about it to. She was so beau and young. People are so concerned about the wrong thing, it make me sick to my stomach. We all want justice for Honey.

  3. I just finished reading her story; it is the saddest thing I’ve ever read and the NEWS has the nerve to dismiss it. I mean, I have heard NOTHING about this and what makes it so bad is I live in Lithonia… smh

I came accross my story on my FB page today. It saddens me to know that something so evil and cruel can pass in silence. This story needs to be shared. This young girl lost her life and for nothing. Just think of her family. Think of the people in neighborhood. Answers are owed to her mother. I really just dont understand. If we stay together we shall seek justice for Honey. Im posting her story to my Twitter, Instagram, FB and wherever else I can find. Atlanta should be ashamed of theirselves.

  8. Girl, thank you for informing more on this story. As i’m proud of your accomplishments, this country is getting messed up. When something really happens, they want to cover stories that will make them money instead of what’s real out here. Its ok to have entertainment but can the news cover something that’s real to their viewers in our area smh. RIP to Honey and my prayers goes out to your family. Keep doing what you’re doing 🙂

I feel the pain so many of her family and friends are goin through. I also read this on fb and the only reason some ppl commented was cause they thought it was honey cocaine. Like that makes it any better on her family. I agree that Kim has her face big in the news now I’ve never been a fan. And this debate has the world going insane. Im so upset because even tho this story is very sad and unbelievable, there’s probably sooo many other stories jus like it. As a matter of fact there was in Columbus, oh in August. I don’t understand how some ppl can have so much rage that they kill other beings….they would be horrified if this happen to one of their family members but then again there family probably isn’t involved with them. It jus saddens me that this happens in place other than Ohio and there not doing anything bout it any where else either. 🙁

What I find that is messed up about this whole story is that like her mother reported someone knows something but won’t say nothing. How is it that she is killed in an apartment complex where she is shot not once but multiple times and none of the neighbors heard or seen anything to bring justice to this young lady’s family?! Get the f*ck out of here! And what else is interesting is that how was the two individuals who were tied up in the bathroom were able to escape moments after the perks left the scene but never tried to before hand or even attempted to come to the aid of this young lady to help save her life? I don’t live in Atlanta nor do I know any of these people, but what I can tell you is that from looking on the outside in this looks like a reverse set up operation that went bad and the victims that were left alive know a lot more then what they care to tell. I would like to see full justice for this young lady’s family. And I would like to see all of those involved get the time that they deserve for this brutal crime. One out of three lives was taken. My advice, follow the report and the statements given by the survining victims and ask the questions that you really don’t want to ask. Malone Family, you will be in our prayers and may GOD shed light on your family the day this murder crime is solved! God bless you all and may his Angels be with you.

My heart goes out to her family… Looking at her photos i could tell she was a beautiful girl not only on the outside but the inside as well… I have 2 young girls of my own and i just imagine how i would feel if it was my kid…Honey will be truly missed and this story has touched many many hearts Rest In Paradise baby girl….

  13. Shebah says:

This deeply saddens me. My heart is heavy for her family and friends. beautiful woman taken so brutally like that is inconceivable. i can relate because one of my dearest friends was brutally murdered in her apartment almost 4 years ago a month shy of her 24th birthday. i know what this family is going through. We got justice for my dear friend Ashley. I want justice for Honey. It truly irks my soul that nobody is covering this story. God is going to have his vengence though. plus reading and reading over the story it doesnt make sense that she was brutally murdered in a home invasion and the 2 residents of the home were left untouched. i just cant fathom that 3-6 men would murder one girl and let the other two people go. something dont add up and by Gods will the truth is going to come out. what you do in the dark ALWAYS comes to light.

  14. Ashley says:

In my opinion, the media purpose is to brain wash the unaware Americans. That is its main priority, after that is to see the progress of their work. With that being, if we want to break the cycle we as a whole aneed to work together for a change. The cycle better known as the system. Is here to keep us where we are at. I just encourage everyone to read on the media, as well as the tap water most of us drink everyday Harvard did a study on it.! Then get back to me…#CHANGE is NOW

I randomly spent an evening with Honey during the summer of 2011& thought about her recently. I just remembered her being very pretty and her saying how she wanted to be a tattoo model. I thought she was 18 then, should’ve known she wasn’t bc she didn’t hv any tats yet. But anyway, I’m writing this bc I am absolutely heartbroken to stumble upon this via twitter yesterday. Life is way too short and she didn’t deserve whatever pain she suffered before passing. One thing I will say is, luckily for her, she’s in a much better place than this violent, cold, heartless hell. My prayers go out to her family
